Overview:

Noriko’s Necklace is a 3D mini clip developed to test a solo production workflow for real-time environments. The project specifically focused on the technical challenges of retargeting external skeletal meshes and optimizing high-fidelity environmental assets for consistent frame rates in Unreal Engine.

Skeletal Mesh FBX Pipeline: Successfully managed the export of an Agora rig from Maya, including animation baking and FBX retargeting.
Environment & Hard-Surface Modeling: Modeled an authentic Japanese temple environment in Maya using clean topology and optimized UV layouts to ensure seamless real-time performance.
Real-Time VFX (Niagara): Developed stylized effects using Unreal Engine’s Niagara Fluids and Particle systems, focusing on atmospheric interaction and lighting.
Look Dev & Technical Art: Created realistic materials in Substance Painter and configured Post-Process Volumes in UE5.
Project Coordination: Managed the end-to-end production schedule—from storyboarding to final sequence render—meeting all technical milestones within a strict 3-week deadline.
